That thing, that moment, when you kiss someone and everything around becomes hazy and the only thing in focus is you and this person and you realize that that person is the only person that you’re supposed to kiss for the rest of your life, and for one moment you get this amazing gift and you want to laugh and you want to cry because you feel so lucky that you found it and so scared that that it will go away all at the same time. — Drew Barrymore (via thelovewhisperer)
Rain. A car ride. Maybe some fries and a cup of brewed coffee. We find some place to talk about life and it’s casualties. We laugh about how the first thing that pops up on the tube was the first movie we saw together in hiding; the first movie that we didn’t actually watch but was just there on the big screen playing for us, giving us some sort of background music to match with the silly conversations we had. We talk about crazy stuff, fleeting moments of happiness, long drives to wherever, music that make our feet tap and bodies jiggle like jellyfishes. A hug to relieve all the worries and stresses of the world and maybe a nice smile that says ‘everything’s going to be alright’.
I’ll always have that moment, that moment when we first hung-out and actually liked it. The time I kiddingly suggested we go off to far away land and went for it like there was no tomorrow. When we just laughed and screamed and sang our silly hearts out to the cruel world we know of and just didn’t care even if a policeman stopped us in our tracks.
But sadly - and truthfully - these moments will never last in reality; only in memories. And memories never change. Memories will always be the same and that’s how I want to always remember you.

When you start to really know someone, all his physical characteristics start to disappear. You begin to dwell in his energy, recognize the scent of his skin. You see only the essence of the person, not the shell. That’s why you can’t fall in love with beauty. You can lust after it, be infatuated by it, want to own it. You can love it with your eyes and body but not your heart. And that’s why, when you really connect with a person’s inner self, any physical imperfections disappear, become irrelevant. — Lisa Unger, Beautiful Lies (via simply-quotes)
